About the volunteering opportunity
DASH Deutschland Tierschutz Kalamata e.V. supports one of the largest rescue centers for street dogs in Greece. Our aim is to provide dogs in need with a safe home, medical care and love. But we go further: through education and castration programs, we create long-term solutions to sustainably reduce the suffering on the streets. With heart, commitment and perseverance, we fight every day for a better future for the dogs.
Our placement team is looking for dedicated support in the organization of pre- and post-spay/neuter checks for our dogs. With your commitment, you will help our protégés find the right home.
Your Tasks
What you do with us
- You search for, find and contact suitable people to carry out pre- and post-inspections (VK/NK) at interested parties' premises (e.g. via Facebook groups or other networks)
- You provide the VK/NK inspectors with all the necessary documents and information
- You work closely with our placement team and proactively keep communication going
- You maintain important documents and ensure that everything remains up-to-date and organized
- And above all: you actively contribute to our dogs finding the best possible home!
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
What you bring with you
- Experience in animal welfare and an interest in getting involved
- Strong communication skills and a flair for people
- Routine in dealing with digital communication channels (Facebook, Messenger, WhatsApp...)
- Enjoy working in a friendly team and making a reliable contribution
- Motivation to volunteer with heart and mind and to fill an important role in the placement of animal welfare dogs
