About the volunteering opportunity
In a shelter for refugee women in Munich Schwabing, a mother wants her 5-year-old daughter to be prepared for school through play. The child will start school in September 2026.
Your Tasks
You read to the child and slowly teach them the letters and how to read.

On weekdays, during the day
We would like 1 x per week for approx. 1 1/2 hours, depending on how long the girl can concentrate and enjoy learning. Preferably on a day during the week from 16.30 to approx. 18.00.
Important notice
An extended police clearance certificate and proof of measles vaccination are required for onboarding. You will receive the forms from us. You will receive a Diakonie volunteer card, which also covers you for the duration of your work. We will discuss further benefits during the onboarding meeting. We look forward to seeing you!
Location
Diakonie München und Oberbayern - Innere Mission München e.V.
"Die Innere Mission" helps people with a migration background. Whether as first aid for refugees and asylum seekers or through useful offers for migrants already living in Munich with permanent residence. The employees of our social and migration services often know the challenges from their own experience. They know where to start in order to begin a new life in a foreign country.
