About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for volunteers to work in the women's and children's clothing container at the refugee accommodation at Tempelhofer Feld. Residents get free (donated) clothes there.
Your Tasks
Once or twice a week, the volunteers are expected to open the clothing store independently, look after it for two hours and then close it again. The tasks during opening hours include keeping an eye on the order of the clothing store, reporting if the range of donated clothing does not match the demand, helping residents to find suitable clothing, possibly with a language barrier, and occasionally helping to restock the clothing store.
Above all, reliability is very important to us. It helps to speak Ukrainian or Russion, but this is not a requirement.

For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.

The opening hours are currently Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 to 3 pm.

The Tempelhof Airport accommodation was put into operation on December 23, 2022 and is operated jointly by AWO Berlin-Mitte and the Internationaler Bund Berlin-Brandenburg. The accommodation is located in hangars 1, 2 and 3 of the former Tempelhof Airport and in parking lot 3. It offers space for a maximum of 1600 people.
