About the volunteering opportunity
Cooking together promotes intercultural exchange, breaking down prejudices and getting to know each other. Germany enjoys diversity and at "schmeck nei", people from all regions of the world show how much culture, knowledge and commitment they bring with them. Cooking together creates appreciation - a strong basis for real integration into our society. Language is secondary - when we do things together, we understand each other.
Your Tasks
You cook your favorite dish and neighbors from your town are invited to eat or cook together. We organize a public kitchen and a room for a nice dinner for you (e.g. in a parish or from the city), we help you with the planning and advertising. There are no costs for you. Participation in the cooking evening is also free of charge for all guests.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
Being able to cook a favorite dish. A desire for real encounters with fellow citizens.

On weekdays, on weekends, at night

We help volunteers and working groups to network and advise them. We also offer further training for volunteers and support refugees during their asylum procedure.
