About the volunteering opportunity
In our project "Check it out! Try it out. Design. Develop", children and young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds aged 8 to 14 are encouraged to try out new things. We offer various leisure activities in the areas of art, sport, cooking and games, strengthening their teamwork skills and self-efficacy.
We are looking for volunteers to accompany and supervise a group of around 8 children on a regular basis. In particular, a pick-up and drop-off service for 6 children to and from the shared accommodation for refugee families, which is two subway stations away from our association, would be very helpful.

Location
Wir Gestalten e.V.
WIR GESTALTEN e.V. arranges mentoring for refugee children and children with migration background. For this purpose, we are looking for volunteers who have fun spending time with a child, learning about other cultures and habits. We offer an interesting training programme.
The "Kiezcafé", is a well-known meeting place for families with migrant background and volunteers in the neighbourhood since 2006. Every Wednesday afternoon mothers have coffee together and help with translation during the arrangement of our mentorings. Their children do their homework, climb, play football, table-tennis or do hanicrafts.
