About the volunteering opportunity
Do you want to be creative and get together with people from different cultures? Would you like to share your sewing, knitting or crocheting skills with others?
We are looking for a motivated, open-minded person who would like to volunteer as part of a handicraft group for our residents in the Rahnsdorf dormitory for homeless people.
What we can offer you:
What we can offer you:
- the experience of being able to support people in particularly difficult social situations in their transition to a largely independent life
- getting to know new people and cultures
- support from a permanent contact person
- participation in free further training
- certification of your acquired skills and experience in volunteering, including the Berlin VolunteerPassport
Your Tasks
Whether sewing, knitting, crocheting or other small handicrafts - here you can get creative with fabric and wool in a sociable atmosphere.
In consultation with interested residents and the volunteer coordinator of the dormitory, you will plan small handicraft projects and carry them out. As the group is open to everyone, including beginners, it would be good if you already have experience in needlework and can provide the group participants with help and advice.
