About the volunteering opportunity

The Bundesverband für Brandverletzte e.V. is looking for committed people who would like to put their heart, mind and time into helping people with burns and their relatives. As part of the board team, you will have the opportunity to actively shape the future of the association, contribute new ideas and give those affected a strong voice in public.

We are looking for people who want to take on responsibility, enjoy teamwork and identify with the goals of the federal association. Previous experience in board work is helpful, but not a mandatory requirement. What is more important is sincerity, reliability and the desire to make a meaningful difference. Together with the other board members, you will help to further develop services for those affected, initiate projects and strengthen self-help work.

If you have empathy, commitment and perhaps also your own points of contact with the topic of burn injuries, we would be delighted to hear about your interest. The Bundesverband für Brandverletzte e.V. welcomes people of all ages and backgrounds who are willing to contribute their skills and experience and thus provide hope, orientation and community.

  • Supporting and strengthening the self-help and regional groups (exchange, networking, moderation of meetings if necessary).

  • Maintaining and expanding cooperation with clinics, rehabilitation facilities, self-help associations, social and rescue organizations.

  • Participation in information and prevention activities (e.g. specialist presentations, information stands, campaigns, materials for those affected and professionals).

  • Sharing responsibility for securing the financial basis of the association (funding, donations, projects, sponsoring if necessary - depending on responsibility).

  • Representing the association at events, specialist conferences and in networks.

  • Supporting new volunteers and helping to ensure good internal communication within the team and with members.
