Friends of the Elderly e. V.
We are part of an international volunteer organization founded in France called "les petits frères des Pauvres", which is committed to helping elderly people who are affected or threatened by loneliness and isolation. Our organization has been active in Europe since 1946 and is now also active in North America. It also has consultative status with the United Nations (UN).
ABOUT THE ENGAGEMENT OFFER 
Lonely, elderly people often have a great need for conversation. For our office in Berlin Mitte, we are looking for volunteer support for our association Freunde alter Menschen e.V.

YOUR TASKS 
Do you enjoy making phone calls and talking to older people? Listening to them and finding contact details for other organizations or institutions when needed? Do you find networking requests more exciting than challenging? And do you have experience in setting yourself apart? Then you've come to the right place.

You will need German as your mother tongue for this job offer. An intensive induction phase will help you to find your feet and gradually enable you to work more independently. You should have a general understanding of databases and digital document storage so that you can make the best possible use of everything that is already available.

As a volunteer, you would be involved in an internationally active, non-profit organization and have the opportunity to take part in internal, Germany-wide training courses.
