In the heart of the former East Berlin, not far from Alexanderplatz, Tierpark Berlin covers 160 hectares - the largest zoo in Europe! The historic Friedrichsfelde Palace is surrounded by a unique park landscape that is home to animals from all over the world.

The encounter between humans and animals arouses emotions and creates lasting experiences. To ensure that this contact remains a wonderful memory for both sides, volunteers are on hand at Zoo, Tierpark and Aquarium Berlin to provide support. In the petting enclosures in particular, they give our guests young and old helpful tips on how to treat our animal protégés with care. At the zoo, for example, you can also help with the popular flight show.

With your confident demeanor and excellent communication skills, you will always make contact with our guests in a friendly and courteous manner. You support our colleagues on site with patience and a sense of responsibility. Your enthusiasm for the topics of animal, nature and species conservation and your reliable and careful assumption of tasks make you a valuable member of the team.

The on-site assignments are divided into shifts, both in the morning and in the afternoon. The greatest support is needed on busy weekends, when advising guests on animal welfare issues can be implemented particularly effectively. The work at Tierpark Berlin concentrates on accessible animal facilities such as the petting meadow as well as support for the air show.
