About the volunteering opportunity
We need someone who knows how to tell stories that resonate. And who has perhaps already thought about it anyway: Where can I get involved, where does it really count?
We, the clubkindern, are currently working on something big. We have been providing low-threshold engagement in Hamburg since 2011, but now we are ramping up the social internship project. Really high. More schools, more young people, more impact. But for this to work, we need money. Structures. Reliability.
And that's where you come in.
We are looking for someone who is keen on fundraising - whether you are already a professional or just want to get stuck in. Do you love making contacts? You don't mind writing applications? Or do you find it exciting to convince sponsors that our project is just the right thing? Then let's talk.

Your Tasks
In concrete terms? It's about everything that helps us financially:
- Writing applications - foundations, public sponsors, prizes. You formulate what we do and why it's important. Sometimes you have to get creative, sometimes you just have to get straight to the point.
- Researching sponsors - who is right for us? Which foundation could understand our cause? You track down opportunities and keep your eyes open.
- Maintaining relationships - donor relations sounds fancy, but it means staying on top of things. Report what's going on. Say thank you. Show that the money is getting through.
- Thinking about campaigns - Maybe you'll set up a crowdfunding campaign with us. Or develop ideas for donation mailings. Depending on what makes sense at the time.
- Keep an eye on the figures - Which applications are in progress? What has been approved and what hasn't? You keep an overview and maybe even build a small tracking system.
There are already a few materials (our exposé, for example), a rough strategy - but we are also open to your ideas. What would you do differently? What is still missing?
On average, it's about 10 hours a month, but if there's an important deadline, it can sometimes be more. But you might have less to do in quieter phases. Just be flexible.

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
You need an intermediate to good knowledge of German because most applications are in German. If you can also speak English - great, it never hurts.
What we want (but not everything is mandatory):
- You can write. Not flowery, not verbose. Clear, convincing, authentic. In such a way that people think: "Yes, I'll pay for that."
- You are organized. Deadlines don't chase you - you chase them. You keep an overview, even when there are several balls in the air at the same time.
- You are persistent. Cancellations are part of the game. But you don't let them get you down, you keep going.
- You understand what's at stake. Not just about numbers, but about real impact. About young people who realize: "Hey, I can make a difference." About democracy. About participation.
- Bonus: You've dealt with foundations, funding programs or applications before. But honestly - if you're motivated and want to learn, that's enough for us.
You would attend meetings from time to time (mostly online), work with our small team and exchange ideas. We're not a big company - everyone knows everyone else here, and your work makes a direct difference.

With our donation club "Unterm Strich", we have therefore created our own place for diversity, freedom and vitality. Here, a proportion of the drinks and admission proceeds from every club night goes back into the association.
