Cucumbers that are crooked, apples that are too small or misshapen carrots are often left lying around in the supermarket, even though they taste just as good as "perfect" produce. By making conscious purchasing decisions, you can easily do something about food waste.

With our 5-minute commitments, we want to inspire you to easily integrate commitment into your everyday life. They are independent of charitable organizations and allow you to make an individual commitment to people and nature in your neighbourhood.
Your Tasks
- Next time you go shopping, opt specifically for misshapen fruit and vegetables.
- Some supermarkets already offer inexpensive bags of "imperfect" food for this purpose.
- Alternatively, you can have rescued food conveniently delivered to your home, for example via etepetete, which specializes in selling misshapen fruit and vegetables.
This way, you can save food that would otherwise be thrown away and often even save money.
