About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to offer regular activities for children and young people in our accommodation for refugees in Tempelhof, either alone or together with other volunteers on weekends. These could be leisure, music, sports, learning or other activities.
Your Tasks
The main task is to independently set up a new offer for underage refugees in the accommodation at the weekend, as there have been few leisure activities at the weekend in the accommodation so far.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Experience in looking after children or leading leisure activities or an educational background are desirable.
We are very happy to welcome people who can speak Russian or Ukrainian, as the majority of our families currently come from Ukraine.

Gladly once a week, the number of hours can vary freely between one and four hours, depending on the volunteer's wishes.

The Tempelhof Airport accommodation was put into operation on December 23, 2022 and is operated jointly by AWO Berlin-Mitte and the Internationaler Bund Berlin-Brandenburg. The accommodation is located in hangars 1, 2 and 3 of the former Tempelhof Airport and in parking lot 3. It offers space for a maximum of 1600 people.
