About the volunteering opportunity
The support in everyday life service (AUA for short) is designed to support people with dementia in their autonomy. To this end, leisure activities have been created and a home care service set up. For the home care service, I am looking for volunteers to support people with dementia in their everyday lives. Nursing services are not part of the volunteer work.
Before you start volunteering, you will of course receive extensive training. In addition to a first aid course, you will also learn about the clinical picture of dementia and develop communication strategies both with the person affected and with other people.
Please note that reliability is extremely important when working with people with dementia. Therefore, please only register if you are able to do this in principle. Of course, you will be given enough time to consider your volunteer work in advance to find out whether this commitment suits you.

Your Tasks
The Everyday Support Service (AUA for short) offers a home care service for people with dementia. This can be once or twice a week for a few hours. During this time, they can play or cook together. The time together can also be spent doing creative activities or light memory exercises. If you are musically inclined, you can also contribute this depending on your interests. As described: Caring services are not part of the tasks.
