About the volunteering opportunity
The Berliner Büchertisch is a project organized as a non-profit association and cooperative. We are committed to ensuring that everyone can afford to read. We accept donations of books and media and distribute them to social and cultural institutions. The project is financed by selling some of the books in two social bookshops and an online store.
Your Tasks
We are looking for puzzle enthusiasts who can support our online team in the preliminary research of puzzles.
During the puzzle pre-research, puzzles are checked on the PC for price and weight and a decision is made on the basis of guidelines as to whether they are suitable for online sale or another area. As the training takes some time, it is great if you are interested in a longer-term voluntary position.
You have the opportunity to borrow a jigsaw puzzle and do it regularly. That way we can make sure it's complete at the same time.

Our vision: Reading should be affordable for everyone - independent from his or her age, salary, social status or origin. That’s why the Büchertisch as a non-profit association supports libraries in schools, kindergartens, prisons and many other institutions. We also work in different projects to help children to access books and reading materials.
Moreover we supply various stations for free books throughout Berlin. In creating jobs and apprenticeships for people from various social backgrounds – from former homeless people to young professionals – we try to give people new perspectives.
