Cycling training for (refugee) women and girls (aged 16 and over), JVS Wilmersdorf

Every woman should be able to cycle! For us, cycling means being able to travel cheaply and in an environmentally friendly way, enjoying exercise, helping us to explore our surroundings and giving us freedom and independence. Not every woman has the opportunity to learn to cycle. That's why we exist. Our training sessions are open to all new and existing female citizens aged 16 and over, regardless of origin, age, religion or status.

Our training sessions aim to teach as many women as possible how to ride a bike and prepare them to ride safely on the road.
Please understand that we are trying out a new format for this event and that not everything may go perfectly straight away ;-)

The training is for beginners, open to all women* and girls aged 16 and over, no matter where they come from.

We are looking for women who can support women learning to cycle, but above all encourage them to speak. If you don't feel fit enough, we also offer simple traffic lessons, we have the documents (multilingual) on site. Please come on time, as the kiosk is only the meeting point, please come on time, we leave the meeting point. We have pink gymbags and folding bikes with us. They are easy to recognize
If you have folding bikes or smaller women's step-through bikes, we would be happy if you bring them along. But it's not a must, we're happy to have you as well ;-)

And, don't worry, we have tasks for all fitness levels ;-)

You should wear clothes suitable for the weather, preferably sneakers/sporty shoes, bring something to drink and a good mood. The Hafen Kiosk 24/7 is only the meeting point, please come on time, we will leave the meeting point. Thank you very much.

We are only looking for female helpers because we are a safe-women-space. Please come on time as not to miss the small introduction and be patient to endure the slight chaos at the beginning. If you don't know what to do, just ask someone.
