About the volunteering opportunity
EX-IN Rhein Main e.V. trains people with personal experience of mental health crises to become recovery counselors and strengthens recovery-oriented approaches in the psychosocial field.
In order to reach even more people and make our educational offers visible, we would like to further expand our social media presence. We currently use Facebook and Instagram and would like creative support in the further development of our content and formats.
Your Tasks
We are looking for a dedicated person to support us on a voluntary basis with
- creating content for Instagram and Facebook (e.g. posts, stories, short reels)
- developing new content ideas around recovery, peer work and further education
- support in establishing a clear social media line (e.g. recognizable formats)
- editing existing content (e.g. quotes, course information, insights into training)
- participation in small campaigns if necessary (e.g. application launch of new courses)
What you should bring with you
- experience or interest in the field of social media / content creation
- a flair for addressing specific target groups
- creativity and enjoyment in designing contributions
- independent and structured way of working
- interest in topics such as recovery, mental health, empowerment or education
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Ideally, you have experience in social media or content creation, especially for Instagram and Facebook. A good feel for addressing target groups and enjoyment of creative work (e.g. designing posts, stories or short videos) are important. Knowledge of common tools (e.g. Canva) is an advantage, but not a requirement. We are also looking for an independent, reliable way of working and an interest in topics such as recovery, mental health, empowerment and education.

A sensitive and respectful approach to topics relating to mental health and recovery is important to us, as much of the content is based on personal experience. Our communication should be respectful, empowering and stigma-free. We also welcome open and transparent coordination of ideas and contributions as well as reliable collaboration. Your own creative ideas are expressly welcome, but key content should be briefly agreed with us before publication

We qualify people with personal experience of crisis and recovery to become recovery counselors who bring their expertise to psychosocial fields of work in a professional manner. Our goal is psychiatry at eye level, characterized by hope, empowerment and mutual learning.
