About the volunteering opportunity
Once a week (always Thursday 15:30-17:30) the family café takes place in our family center. Between 10-25 families with children aged 0-6 years attend. We would like to supplement this meeting with a creative activity. Painting and handicrafts are always very popular with parents and children. We are looking for a person who is regularly involved and enjoys being creative with children. Don't worry, not all 25 families always want to take part at the same time ;-P
Your Tasks
- come up with creative activities to suit the season
- facilitate simple activities with colored pencils, watercolors, acrylic paints
- Up-cycling projects
- Making the world more colorful with glue and glitter
- Preparing and tidying up with the families is part of it
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
- Enjoy creativity (you don't need to be a trained artist)
- Enjoy spending time with young children and their parents
- Lots of ideas and a desire to try things out (children's art is always nice)

We are a youth welfare organization and operate preventative services in addition to outpatient, inpatient and school facilities. This includes the Schivelbeiner Straße Family Center. Here, we facilitate encounters, education and advice for families through largely free services such as family cafés, play and toddler groups. The offer is aimed at all families in the social area. The groups and courses are available in various languages and are also aimed at disadvantaged target groups such as refugees, single parents and rainbow families.
