About the volunteering opportunity
A very young refugee mother with a 2-month-old baby would like some support in her everyday life.
The mother is very exhausted at the moment and would be happy if a volunteer could occasionally take the baby for a walk in the baby carriage so that she can get some rest and relief.
The mother is very exhausted at the moment and would be happy if a volunteer could occasionally take the baby for a walk in the baby carriage so that she can get some rest and relief.
Volunteering is uncomplicated and also suitable for people who do not have any particular language skills. The mother speaks English, but many things work without many words.
The most important thing is to be friendly and respectful and to be confident with small babies - for example, to know how to hold and calm a baby if it cries.
Your Tasks
- taking the baby for a walk in the baby carriage
- allowing the mother to take short breaks
- calm and loving interaction with the baby
- being able to hold and calm the baby safely if it cries
- occasional company and human support in everyday life
