Free learning support for primary school children in Holzminden and Bodenwerder

The M.K. Humanus International Organization e.V. is looking for committed volunteers to support primary school children.

Many children need help with homework, German, math, reading and writing. The aim of the project is to give children from financially disadvantaged families better educational and development opportunities.

The project is initially set up for one month. The volunteers support the children individually or in small learning groups.

Simple accommodation can be provided by prior arrangement for volunteers traveling from outside the region.

We look forward to welcoming committed people who would like to make an important contribution to supporting children and their future.

Tasks of the volunteers:

* Supporting primary school children with homework
* Support in German, math, reading and writing
* Individual learning support or work in small learning groups
* Motivating and strengthening the children's self-confidence
* Support in preparing for class work and tests
* Promoting social skills and motivation to learn
* Collaboration with the organization's project management

The assignment is flexible by arrangement for an initial period of one month. An extension of the collaboration is possible.

* Enjoy working with children
* Reliability and a sense of responsibility
* Patience and empathy
* Good knowledge of German
* Interest in education and learning support
* Teaching experience is welcome, but not a prerequisite
* Students, teachers, pensioners and committed volunteers are very welcome

The project initially runs for a period of one month. The working hours are flexibly coordinated with the volunteers. Assignments are possible both on weekdays and at weekends. If required, it is possible to extend the commitment at a later date.

* Respectful and appreciative interaction with children and families is a prerequisite.
* The working hours are individually coordinated.
* The well-being of the children is always the focus of the work.
