Sewing Workshop Seeks Volunteers

WERK_RAUM is an open neighborhood workshop located in the shared housing facility at Quedlinburger Straße 45, which
serves as a place of solidarity for meeting, learning, and working. The space is opened by volunteers and used by the neighborhood. Volunteers also have the opportunity to use the workshop for their projects outside of regular opening hours. 

The goal is to share craft skills, strengthen repair and sustainability competencies, and facilitate exchange and mutual support among residents of the shelter, volunteers, and the neighborhood.

We are looking for volunteers who are interested in taking shifts at our existing sewing workshop. We’d love it if you enjoy sewing and are eager to meet a wide variety of people. Your tasks will include unlocking the room, setting up the sewing machines, helping people with their sewing projects and answering any questions they may have, and putting the machines away at the end of the day.

Experience with sewing machines and basic sewing skills are required for this role.
