About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for motivated volunteers to support the Hope Foundation e.V. info-booth at the 16th Intercultural Football Tournament & BAOBAB Fair, organized by NARUD e.V. this Saturday, July 4th (tomorrow).
This event is a major intercultural meeting point in Berlin, specifically designed to support, empower, and give visibility to people with migrant backgrounds, the African diaspora, and local migrant organizations. Through sports and the BAOBAB exhibition, the event fosters integration, social participation, and community networking.
Hope Foundation will have an official information stand at the venue, and by joining us, you will help us raise awareness for our global education projects, connect with the local community, and support a fantastic day of cultural exchange.
Your Tasks
As a volunteer at our info-booth, you will be a vital part of our outreach team! Your main tasks will include:

Public Engagement: Welcoming visitors to our stand, sharing the mission of Hope Foundation, and talking to people about our education initiatives.

Community Networking: Interacting with other organizations and visitors at the tournament to build positive connections.

Booth Support (Shift-Dependent):

Shift 1 (09:45 - 13:30): Helping the team set up our table, banners, and materials before the tournament kicks off.

Shift 2 (13:30 - 17:15): Engaging with the afternoon crowd and helping the team pack down the booth materials at the end of the event.

No previous experience is required. Just bring your open mind, positive energy, and a smile! To thank you for your support, every volunteer will receive an official Hope Foundation shirt!
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
We are simply looking for open-minded, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals.
However, volunteers should be able to give a general overview of our projects which are:
1. Related to education, we raise funds for the educational project Fair Champions about fair trade in textile and shoe production for schools 5th-8th grade in Berlin. The objective is to help others understand the impact of consumption on living and working conditions in the Global South.

2. Related to sports, we are raising funds to support our sports for development program the Forest Cup. We want to combine the dream of football with community education with a special focus for environmental education among youths in Bertoua, Cameroon. Money raised during these events will fund cleaning campaigns, planting of trees, community education, and a football tournament.
Additionally to that:

Communication Skills: Being open to starting friendly conversations with visitors and explaining our project mission (basic questions).

Language: Basic conversational English or German is perfectly fine to interact with the event attendees.
- Team Spirit: A positive attitude and willingness to support the team on-site.

This is a one-time, last-minute volunteering opportunity for this Saturday, July 4th.
We have split the day into two flexible shifts so you can choose the time that suits you best:

Shift 1: 09:45 - 13:30 (Includes helping the team with the initial setup and banners before the tournament kickoff).
- Shift 2: 13:30 - 17:15 (Includes engaging with the afternoon crowd and assisting the team with packing down the stand at the end).
Important notice

Location: The event takes place outdoors at Sportplatz Cornelius-Fredericks-Straße (Cornelius-Fredericks-Str. 31, Wedding).

On-site Contact: Once you are confirmed, our on-site coordinator Brandon (+49 176 68598526) will be your main point of contact. Just look for the Hope Foundation banner or table when you arrive!

The Hope Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Cameroon and Germany. Since 2001 we have been dedicated to children and women in Cameroon. We are particularly active in the areas of development cooperation, health and education. Due to the close contact with the Cameroonian population, we are in constant exchange about problems and solutions.
In Germany, we organize information and charity events as well as an education project on "global learning".
