Some encounters change more than just a day—a trusted person in a shared living community for seniors

It often starts with a cup of coffee. With a smile. With a story from the past or a song we sing together that suddenly brings back memories. Sometimes, just being there is enough.

For our dementia group homes in Köpenick, we’re looking for people who’d like to give their time—as volunteer support partners.

In our shared living communities, people with dementia live in a home-like environment. Here, we cook, bake, laugh, do puzzles, and celebrate together. Every day is different, and each person brings their own story. It’s important to us that these stories are heard and that our residents’ wishes are taken into account in their daily lives.

As a support person, that’s exactly what you’re here for. You listen, get to know people, and advocate for their interests. You’re an additional support figure—independent, attentive, and with an eye for what’s good for a person. It’s not about providing care. It’s about sharing a zest for life.

Our team also thrives on diversity. People from different cultures and generations work together here with heart and respect. Diverse experiences and new ideas bring our community to life—just as do the encounters with people who volunteer with us.

Our three shared living communities are nestled in a green setting, very close to the Wuhle River. The sunroom, the open kitchen, and the cozy common areas invite you to spend time together. Whether at parties, on outings, or during a walk, you’ll quickly realize: This isn’t just about care—it’s about community.
