About the volunteering opportunity
For many years now, we have been organizing a large flea market booth in downtown Bonn every summer. Under the name “Edel & Trödel,” we sell books, clothing, handicrafts, porcelain, and other household goods to benefit a good cause.
100% of the proceeds go toward the peace work of the Women’s Network for Peace: in Bonn, for example, to commemorate Bertha von Suttner, the first woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize, or to support campaigns, demonstrations, and events focused on peace, disarmament, and gender issues.
Anyone who helps out can pick out an item from the flea market at the end as a thank-you gift :).
Your Tasks
The pre-packed crates have to be put into cars at Kaiserstraße 201, for which we need helping hands (9:00 am to 10:00 am). Afterwards, the stand and the crates will be set up on Friedensplatz, for which the second appointment is planned (10:00 am to 11:00 am). Then the sale at the stand begins from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm but there are also several possible shifts to chose from. The last shift is for disassembling; the crates are stowed away again on Kaiserstraße (4:00 pm to 5:30 pm).

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
The flea market takes place in a welcoming atmosphere, no special skills are required. For the morning and afternoon shifts, however, it would be nice if you could help carry the boxes (but no heavy lugging through stairwells ;) )
What to bring
Everything is on site, so nobody has to bring or contribute anything, except of course a good mood!
