About the volunteering opportunity
A smile. A few words in your own language. Someone who understands what matters to you. Especially when words become harder to find, these familiar encounters are particularly valuable.
For our shared living community, we’re looking for a volunteer mentor who enjoys getting to know people and spending time with them.
People with very different life stories and habits live with us. Some start their day early and enjoy their coffee in the kitchen-diner, while others like to sleep in and begin their morning at their own pace. Here, everyone is welcome to be exactly who they are.

Your Tasks
As a trusted companion, you don’t have to provide care. It’s about being there: listening, having conversations, sharing memories, and finding out what brings a person joy. Perhaps the connection begins over a cup of coffee, while sitting together in the kitchen, or simply during a quiet moment together.
You don’t have to build a connection with all the residents right away. It often starts with a single encounter—with one person, one conversation, and a little bit of trust.
Maybe you’re exactly the familiar voice that someone would love to hear again.

Important notice
Our team is just as diverse as our residents. People of German, Russian, and Turkish descent work together, bringing their experiences, cultures, and perspectives to the table. It is especially valuable when people can reconnect with their own language and familiar ways of expressing themselves—sometimes a single word creates more closeness than many explanations.
