For our rehabilitation sports programs, the DRK Kreisverband Bremen e.V. is looking for an empathetic and dedicated exercise instructor to support people on their journey back to an active life.
Your Tasks
Your role:
You’ll lead a rehabilitation exercise group and help participants improve their health in the long term.
Specifically, this means:
- Conducting a weekly rehabilitation exercise class
- Promoting flexibility, strength, and endurance
- Providing positive support throughout the course of their illnesses
- Supporting participants as they return to their daily lives and careers
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
What you bring to the table:
You’re patient, attentive, and empower others—step by step.
Important qualities:
- Good basic fitness
- An open, motivating, and empathetic personality
- Ability to work independently
- Alignment with the values of the German Red Cross
Formal requirements:
- “Sports in Rehabilitation” instructor certification
- Current first aid certification (can be arranged through us)
- Certificate of Good Conduct and Privacy Policy
- Proof of measles vaccination
Time required
Regularly
Approx. 3 hours per week.
On weekdays, during the day
Time commitment:
- Approx. 1.5 to 3 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling available on weekdays
