About the volunteering opportunity

In the event of disasters, war, or major accidents such as the flooding in the Ahr Valley, many people are forced to leave their homes or end up as victims in emergency shelters. Often, phone and internet services are no longer available, and people lose contact with one another. That’s when the missing persons centers spring into action. They register the injured and those affected by the disaster and accept search requests from family members. The information gathered is consolidated centrally so that people can gradually be reunited.

Your Tasks

  • Registration of Affected Persons, Injured Individuals, and Emergency Responders
  • Documentation by medical services and at disaster sites
  • Collection of personal data (digitally and manually)
