About the volunteering opportunity
Drop Anchor and Build a Future:
SchlauFox e.V. is looking for volunteer mentors for refugee students
Students with refugee backgrounds often face major challenges in their everyday school life: they have to learn German in a very short time, find their way in the local school system, earn a high school diploma, set career goals, and so on…
The mentor accompanies a young mentee on their educational journey and supports them in their learning with subject-specific guidance, life experience, and motivation.
The mentoring pair meets once a week for 90 minutes at the school for one year and receives support from the organization in the form of team meetings, voluntary training sessions, and supervision.
