Volunteers Wanted for the Thrift Store in Tegel Süd

The Tegel community runs a small thrift store in Tegel Süd. The selection consists mainly of low-priced clothing, as well as small household items, toys, and decorative items. All items come from donations by local residents and members of the parish. The main goal is to have a local presence and to offer people not only affordable shopping opportunities but also a place for conversation and social interaction.

Duties include selling clothing and other items, as well as operating the cash register. The position requires working independently and engaging in friendly and open conversations with customers. It also involves receiving and sorting in-kind donations. Your own ideas for improving the store are also very welcome.

When: Monday–Friday, 2:00–5:00 p.m., by arrangement.

 Time commitment: twice a week, 3 hours. We’d like you to commit to a regular schedule.

You are at least 16 years old. You can communicate well in German. English can also be helpful, but is not a prerequisite.
