About the volunteering opportunity
Seniorennetz Berlin is a project of the AWO Landesverband Berlin e.V. and is funded by the Senate Department for Science, Health, and Care. We want to enable all seniors in Berlin to participate in digital life. Where we see gaps in available services, we set up our own tablet courses to help older adults with little or no digital knowledge become digitally confident. That’s why we need you and your commitment!
Your Tasks
Together with a second volunteer, they run the AWO Digital Café at the Spukvilla in Tempelhof. This allows questions and concerns of general interest to be discussed as a group, while participants can also receive individual support on specific issues during tablet consultation hours. The AWO Digital Café takes place every Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
Do you have excellent digital skills and the ability to explain them in simple terms? Do you also enjoy working with older adults and have patience and empathy? If so, this job is the perfect fit for you.
Time required
Regularly
Approx. 2 hours per week.
On weekdays, during the day
Wednesdays, 10:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
