About the volunteering opportunity
Reinickendorf offers a wide range of cultural, educational, recreational, and social opportunities—many of which are specifically designed for refugees and new immigrants. And yet, these opportunities often fail to reach the very people they are intended for. Language barriers, a lack of information, psychological stress, and fears frequently prevent them from participating on their own. As a result, many residents of refugee shelters are denied the opportunity to participate in society, even though these opportunities are right on their doorstep.
This is exactly where the BeAT project comes in—the Activating Support for Social Participation for refugees and new immigrants in Reinickendorf. The project is sponsored by Willkommen in Reinickendorf e.V.
