About the volunteering opportunity
A refugee accommodation center in Spandau is looking for volunteers who would like to help women learn to read and write and acquire basic German language skills.
We are looking for dedicated individuals who can offer a low-threshold literacy or German language course for women 1–2 times a week for 1–2 hours at a time.
The main goal is to provide participants with easy and supportive access to the German language and to guide them through their learning process.
Your Tasks
As a volunteer, you would offer a regular literacy or German language course for women.
Together with the participants, you can teach basic reading and writing skills, help them build their initial knowledge of German, and support them in their individual learning progress.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
A passion for helping women read, write, and acquire basic German language skills. A willingness to regularly offer a literacy or low-threshold German language course 1–2 times a week for 1–2 hours each session.
