About the volunteering opportunity
Some children find math more difficult than others and need more support in class. That’s why we’re looking for patient and caring math mentors for our elementary school who are committed to guiding students on their journey into the world of numbers. The mentoring sessions are scheduled in consultation with the teacher in charge and take place alongside regular class time.
Your Tasks
In consultation with the teacher, you will help individual students with their math assignments.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
As a math mentor, you should have a lot of patience and empathy for students with learning difficulties. Reliability and a sense of responsibility are just as important.
Time required
Regularly
Approx. 2 hours per week.
On weekdays, during the day
This volunteer work takes place concurrently with morning classes. The specific details will be coordinated with the teacher.
Important notice
An extended criminal background check is required for volunteer work at our schools. We can apply for this free of charge to help you get started.
