About the volunteering opportunity
Many people live next door to each other for years without really getting to know one another. Yet a good neighborhood can make everyday life easier, especially for older people or anyone who is new to the city. A simple offer of help in the hallway opens doors and encourages initial contact.
Your Tasks
- Write a short, friendly note, for example: “I’m happy to water your plants or accept packages.”
- Add your name and where to find you, such as your floor or apartment door.
- Hang the note in a clearly visible spot in the hallway or next to the mailboxes.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity you don't need any German skills.
You don't need any special qualifications to get involved—just a piece of paper, a pen, and a desire to get involved in your neighborhood.
