Family Support in the Children's and Youth Hospice Service

 When a child becomes seriously ill, it changes everything. The ASB Hannover Children’s Hospice Service supports families during this difficult time—from the moment of diagnosis, through everyday life, during tough moments, and even afterward. Our volunteer family support workers are there for the affected children, parents, and siblings. We take a holistic view of the family as a whole—and tailor our support to your needs. If necessary, this may mean that two different family support workers are available to assist different family members.

The figure of 3 hours per week is a guideline. 

Commitment to a family is preceded by a training program. This program is well-structured but requires time and a commitment.
