What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
You don't have to be a pro at project management. What's much more important is that you enjoy coming up with ideas, organizing things, and working with others to get things off the ground.
The following are helpful:
- Organizational skills and a structured approach to work
- Initiative and a willingness to take on responsibility
- Creativity and a passion for developing new ideas
- A love of communication and the ability to work well in a team
- Reliability and perseverance
- An openness to art, culture, and inclusion
Experience in project management, event planning, fundraising, or nonprofit work is welcome but not required.
What matters isn’t what you can already do, but what you want to achieve.
Time required
Project-based
Your level of involvement depends on your availability and the specific project. Even just 2–4 hours a month can be enough to get initial ideas off the ground.
Many tasks, such as project planning, research, reaching out to others, or finding collaboration partners, can be handled flexibly from home.
For specific projects, the time commitment may be slightly higher for a limited time, such as for events or workshops.
We’ll decide together whether you’d like to take on a single project or join us for the long term. You’ll help determine how much time you can commit.
Important notice
At KUBO, we have plenty of ideas, but as a small nonprofit organization, we have limited staff and financial resources. That’s why we’re looking for people who not only contribute their thoughts but are also eager to take the initiative and move ideas forward on their own.
You won’t be working alone: We develop projects together, share ideas, and support one another.
Our artists with disabilities are at the center of everything we do. We actively incorporate their interests, wishes, and artistic ideas into our project development.

V. is a nonprofit arts and culture association in Bochum that offers people with disabilities a space for artistic expression and showcases their work to the public through exhibitions, workshops, and creative projects. Through volunteer efforts, we promote cultural participation, social interaction, and the recognition of artistic diversity.
