About the volunteering opportunity
Health issues and loss of mobility make small chores and getting out of the house difficult and often lead to isolation. In the KiezZeit project, we connect people looking for social interaction and support with volunteers from the neighbourhood.
Your Tasks
As a volunteer, you will visit a neighbour looking for support once a week. How you spend your time together is up to you and the person you visit. From coffee and a chat to short walks or doing grocery shopping.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.
Enjoyment of interacting with (older) people, patience, and empathy
Sufficient German language skills to chat with the person you’re visiting
An extended criminal background check is required.
