About the volunteering opportunity

Our association is looking for approachable, reliable volunteer mentors who would like to meet a child, teenager or young adult at eye level, give them time and build a sustainable relationship. As a mentor, you become part of a stable support system and can help a young person to gain confidence, develop self-esteem and discover new perspectives.

Who are the young people?
  • Girls and boys between the ages of approx. 6 and 27
  • Children, adolescents and young adults in residential youth care
  • Children who want a constant caregiver outside their institutional environment
  • Young people who need someone who is simply there - to listen, for joint activities, as a guide on the way to an independent life

Your Tasks

You organize free time with the children (playing, talking, cooking, going on excursions), provide support when questions arise and offer the young people a sympathetic ear.

You do not have a therapeutic mandate - what you need is humanity, empathy, patience, tolerance, presence and reliability. Preparation, support and supervision are provided by our own specialists.

Our services
  • free introductory seminar
  • Instruction by specialists

  • Exchange of experience
  • Liability insurance
  • free excursions
