About the volunteering opportunity
We have long been committed to helping homeless people in Cologne. On our daily tours through the city center, we provide people in need with what they need most.
Every day, we prepare up to 200 hot meals in our kitchen, distribute hot and cold drinks and provide sleeping mats, blankets, hygiene materials and clothing.

We were awarded the City of Cologne's Volunteer Award and are financed exclusively through donations.
Your Tasks
We are currently looking for committed volunteers who would like to help us prepare hot meals. Your valuable work with heart and commitment makes a real difference in the lives of many people.
You are fully insured with us. This means you can help out and do good together with a good feeling.

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.

On weekdays, on weekends, during the day
The working hours are from 02:00 pm to approx. 05:30 pm, whereby you agree with us on which days / on which day you would like to work.

The Office for Civic Commitment of the AWO Cologne is a consulting service. People who are willing to volunteer will receive advice and will be placed in organisations that work with volunteers. Further priority will be given to LESEMENTOR Cologne, young volunteers, further education and voluntary refugee work.
