About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for German-speaking volunteers who meet once a week for 2-4 hours with a girl or boy from a transition class and do something after school. It would be great if you can commit yourself for at least 6 months. For questions and contact with other volunteers, please join our Facebook group.
Your Tasks
As a mentor, you would creatively design the meetings yourself. If necessary, it would be great if you could help with the homework. Each mentor decides together with the child whether they meet online or in person. A place to study is available, the usual hygiene rules apply there: Distance- Wear mask- Wash hands.
What's needed
The mentor should be open for getting into a relation with their mentee child. In addition, patience, reliability and empathy are very welcome.
Time required
Important notice
Mentors need a current Extended Certificate of Good Conduct.
Everyone who wants to will be reimbursed for expenses.
As a mentor, we ask that you bring the completed form to our first meeting.
Where?
mitSprache e.V. Förderung der sprachlichen und kulturellen Integration junger Migrantinnen und Migranten
mitSprache e.V. mediates one-to-one mentoring, whereas godparent and godchild meet regularly and reliably in the afternoon once a week and discover together Munich while practising German. Also mentors are mediated who go regularly once a week to a secondary school and learn together with one student or in a small group in a trial class. Moreover, the association also arranges tutoring for adolescents in German and Maths.
