For many elderly people, loneliness and isolation is unfortunately a reality. When relatives have no time or live far away, when friends have already passed away and their own mobility is perhaps restricted, many old people lead an isolated life among us. By arranging visiting partnerships, the association wants to give old people hope and courage to live - and enable younger people to get in touch with the older generation.
In such a partnership, volunteers visit an elderly person at least once a month, usually in his or her home - just to talk, laugh, play games around or eat cake. More active "old friends" also have the opportunity to go for a walk or make small excursions.

It is a responsible commitment!
We are part of an international volunteer organisation called "les petits frères des Pauvres", founded in France and dedicated to helping elderly people who are affected or threatened by loneliness and isolation. Our organisation has been active in Europe since 1946 and is now also active in North America. It also has consultative status with the United Nations (UN).
