Funding
The financing of Friends of the Elderly is based on the idea of ensuring a high degree of independence from state or church institutions.
However, we do not categorically rule out partial financing by state institutions as long as our independence is maintained. In our financial report for 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 we have summarised our income and expenditure situation.
We are recognised as a non-profit association and are a member of the Paritätischer Wohlfahrtsverband.
We finance our work largely through donations and are urgently dependent on them. We do not regard donors and sponsors as mere financial sources, but as essential multipliers for spreading the philosophy of our association. We do not accept donations from elderly people whom we accompany. This principle is anchored in our constitution.
