Wille gGmbH is an intercultural social business. With our offers we support people on their way into paid work. Wille has been founded in the 70s in Kreuzberg as a youth project. We have 25 employees with different cultural backgrounds working for us. On a regular basis, volunteers do support us, e.g. with our Repair Café.More about the organisation
The project "Stay in!" is a project which is funded by the Senate Department for Integration, Labour and Social Affairs.
It was created to support young people on their way into the working life and to avoid dropping out of their apprenticeship. Especially in the health sector, "Die Wille" wants to bring together those who know a lot about the sector with those who are just getting starting and still have their whole professional life ahead of them.
We are currently looking for mentors until the end of December for mentees from the city districts : Charlottenburg, Spandau, Schöneberg, Reinickendorf, Wedding, Hellersdorf, Marzahn, Steglitz and Lichtenberg.
You will accompany future skilled workers through the 6-month probationary period or through part of the apprenticeship period. Our mentoring programme is a volunteering opportunity which can be arranged individually. It is important to us that the "chemistry is right" and that both participants enjoy being in contact. You can support a person who has made a fresh start in Germany for various reasons. Some have fled with their parents, others have come to Germany alone and are now adults. The trainees have started their apprenticeship in the health sector and with your accompaniment it will be easier for them to pass the probationary period and complete their training!
We currently accompany mentees from e.g. these following areas:
Get involved in a diverse society - start with us and the trainees in your neighbourhood!
We welcome all those who are interested in supporting young people during their probationary period and further training in the health sector and who may have experience in the health and/or social sector themselves.
We are looking for people with life experience, understanding and know-how, patience, a little bit of time and energy.
You are interested in supporting young people during their training in the health sector.
Please note: For this volunteering opportunity, you need German skills on the level „Advanced German skills“.
Your support is needed on a long-term basis.
Am I covered by accident and/or casualty insurance during the project?
For this project, we ask you to arrange an individual meeting.
