Supporting families with babies and small children in everyday life

We are looking for volunteers for the project wellcome und goldwert in Pankow, who will help families with children aged 0-3 years to support their everyday life. The placement in a family lasts between three and several months, about 2-3 hours per week, depending on the needs of the families and the wishes of the volunteers. After this time volunteers and families say goodbye to each other. This enables you to be flexible in your commitment. You can decide whether you want to support a new family or take a break.

We offer our team of volunteers regular exchange meetings, free further training, insurance coverage and reimbursement of travel expenses.

You make everyday life easier for families by giving them time off, for example by taking the child to the playground, going for a walk or picking him or her up from the day care centre when needed.

You do not need any professional qualifications to be able to work for us. What is decisive are personal skills such as empathy, tolerance, discretion, reliability - and that you enjoy the job.

You should have at least once a week 2-3 hours time and be able to provide this reliably over a period of about 3-5 months.

We require an extended police clearance certificate from all our volunteers. You will receive a corresponding letter with which you can apply for this free of charge during the interview with the team coordinator.
