About the volunteering opportunity

Would you like to teach first aid to children?

Then get involved now in our project as a school instructor for first aid at primary schools!

Your Tasks

After the training you can be used in the mornings in grades 3-6 and teach them first aid.

What's needed

For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
  • Minimum age 18 years
  • Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain it
  • Participation in an instructor course
  • Observation at a JRK school instruction course
  • Presentation of an extended police certificate of good conduct (you will receive a template from us for the citizens' registration office)

On weekdays, during the day

You can decide for yourself how often you want to engage. For an event you can calculate about 3 - 4 lessons plus preparation / follow-up and travel.

Important notice

At some schools, instruction is also given in English.

The Berliner Jugendrotkreuz (Berliner Red Cross Youth) is both an independent youth association and a Red Cross community as well as part of the world-wide Red Cross and Red half moon movement. As a young community the Berliner Red Cross Youth considers itself as an idea giver in the whole association of the German Red Cross and commits itself to the needs of kids and youths, but also of the whole society.
