About the volunteering opportunity
We are looking for volunteers who would like to "let off steam" in a large garden area together with homeless men. The facility is located on Brühler Landstraße.
Your Tasks
Planting vegetable gardens, orchards and flower beds, nesting boxes ... there are no limits to creativity.
The commitment can be carried out on a regular or project-related basis. It is also possible to take on a sponsorship, with your own design / cultivation of a plot.
The garden is part of a Wohnhilfe facility and is managed jointly by and with the men living there.

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, basic German skills are required.
- Age: (at least) 18 years
- extended certificate of good conduct necessary
- Interest in getting to know new people
- Empathy and enjoy working in a team
- Interest in working in nature

The Office for Civic Commitment of the AWO Cologne is a consulting service. People who are willing to volunteer will receive advice and will be placed in organisations that work with volunteers. Further priority will be given to LESEMENTOR Cologne, young volunteers, further education and voluntary refugee work.
