About the volunteering opportunity

The German Red Cross rescues people, helps in emergencies, offers people a community, stands by poor people and those in need and watches over international humanitarian law - in Germany and all over the world. Under the sign of humanity, we stand up for the life, health, well-being, protection, peaceful coexistence and dignity of all people. Our idea is supported by over 100 million volunteers and members worldwide. In Germany alone, about three million members are involved.

Become part of us!

Are you a nurse, geriatric nurse or doctor's assistant who will soon be retiring but would like to continue to actively participate in professional life and pass on your knowledge to future generations?

Then let us train you as a trainer and then train yourself.

Your Tasks

Our trainers teach the course participants the technical and communicative basics for the most comprehensive activating care, social care and accompaniment of older people. Within the qualification, they enable their participants to take over the basic nursing care of persons in need of care according to the German Social Code (SGB) XI. With a certificate that enables nursing work in the outpatient and inpatient sector, you open up good opportunities for our graduates on the labour market, without having to be based on vocational training.
