About the volunteering opportunity
The aim of the dabei.sein sponsorships is to enable mutual learning from each other through intercultural exchange between volunteers and people with a newcomer background, to reduce social prejudices and to increase the participation opportunities of refugees and people with a newcomer background.
Your Tasks
You meet each other, spend your free time together and experience the exciting world of your counterpart. In a short-term commitment of initially three meetings, you visit cultural events, cook together, go on excursions or act as a mentor for everyday questions, support your mentee in practicing German and other matters. If you both like it, you can continue the sponsorship.
What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, advanced German skills are required.
You should have time and willingness for at least three meetings and of course curiosity and openness for a respectful interaction with each other.
