Join us and become a food rescuer!

We are looking for members for our association who want to join us in the fight against food waste.

We save food in markets and bakeries and pass it on in a non-profit way.

In addition, the topics of environmental protection and sustainability are very important to us. We try to encourage people to follow our example and join in with various projects and campaigns.

We sort the food before we give it to others. Afterwards they are brought to different organisations like the Kinderschutzbund or youth fire brigades, or given out to the public at our distribution point on Fridays or in our Rett(m)ich-Hütte on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Here you can also get involved.

We drive to markets and pick up the food. New members are always welcome for this because the more rescuers we are, the more markets we can go to and the more food we can save!

We cook in workshops with children and young people and show them what can be conjured up from rescued food and that fresh cooking does not have to be elaborate. Other topics and target groups for cooking are also planned. Are you up for something like this?

Our members can always get actively involved in shaping the association. Do you have ideas on how to implement projects on the topic of sustainability, for example? Or how food waste can be avoided? Then join in! :-)

A desire for sustainability and the fight against food waste. But you also need to be able to work in a team and be reliable. A good mood would also be great :-)
