About the volunteering opportunity
We are happy to welcome dedicated helpers to accompany the children on their adventures in our kindergarten & family center.
Your Tasks
We are looking for
- Readers for our children's library
- Artists for our studio
- People who enjoy making music with children
- Tacklers and designers for our large outdoor area
- Loving companions for lunch
- Play partners with a lot of patience
- Enthusiastic athletes with ideas for little ones
- Reliable translators for Kurdish and Arabic.
Thanks to our open concept, there are few limits to how we can organize your volunteer work. We want the children to have more contact with people from the neighborhood and hope that this will allow them to experience an intergenerational dialogue. The children are happy to share their zest for life and energy with anyone who is willing to get involved with them.

What's needed
For this volunteering opportunity, intermediate German skills are required.

The Office for Civic Commitment of the AWO Cologne is a consulting service. People who are willing to volunteer will receive advice and will be placed in organisations that work with volunteers. Further priority will be given to LESEMENTOR Cologne, young volunteers, further education and voluntary refugee work.
