About the volunteering opportunity
Since 1993, LORA München has been a politically independent and non-commercial alternative word radio or citizens' radio for Munich and the surrounding area, focusing on social issues, local affairs, ecology, One World and multicultural cooperation. LORA München sees itself as a forum for socially committed, local initiatives, organizations, institutions and people living in the broadcasting area. More than 250 volunteers in over 30 editorial offices strive every day to create a critical counter-public. You can find further information on lora924.de.
Your Tasks
With us you can make active radio contributions yourself, which are then also sent via FM, DAB+ and Internet stream. After a training phase, you will be able to create your own music and/or word articles, such as interviews and post-processing on the computer. Later on you could also do live broadcasts or moderate them. In the studio technology you will learn how to technically design the broadcasting operation.
What's needed
At the beginning, to get started, you should bring along about 5 hours of time in one go, at least 1x per week, later on as needed. You should also have basic computer skills and socio-political interest.

Since 1993 we are a non-commercial alternative radio station in Munich beyond the mainstream. Many people and initiatives with social, political, cultural and ecological concerns have a voice here. Our fields of activity include editing, broadcasting and studio technology and organisation. Racism and right-wing extremist sentiments have no space with us. Politically we feel part of the left-liberal spectrum.
